This scholarship requires that a proposal be submitted along with the application. The proposal, of 500 words or less, should describe the coursework or instructional materials that the scholarship will be used for. Please upload as an Ms Word document.

To be considered for this Social Studies Scholarship, your Budget must be submitted along with this application. Attach an itemized list of activities associated with the scholarship and/or an itemized list of materials or equipment to be purchased complete with material/equipment name, description, and costs, as well as the total shipping and handling charges. (Attach as a Word or Excel document.)

This scholarship requires that you write an essay paragraph describing the methodology you use to teach social studies and why it is important that students be taught history. The essay should be double spaced and no fewer than 500 words.

Recipient should be willing to share the results or impact of the scholarship on his/her students and/or teaching through writing a brief article for A+PEL to potentially use in a newsletter, on the website, or for a conference display.
