On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, BESE considered the MFP formula that was sent back to them by the House Education Committee. A+PEL was there and members Robyn Heistand and Rebecca Albert testified regarding their personal experiences and in support of keeping teacher/support raises and increased school funding in the MFP formula.
BESE Member Tony Davis noted the power of both educators' testimonies.
These educators then went to the State Capitol and met with legislators in order to advocate for full funding!
Our members were then interviewed by Louisiana Public Broadcasting!
