Race to the Top
The Louisiana Department of Education is applying for the federal grant called Race to the Top. Your district might be one that plans to opt-in and receive some of this funding, which is intended to develop and implement initiatives that will enhance teacher effectiveness and student achievement. Regardless of which districts or charter schools participate, statewide education reforms will be evident.
