Each year, Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana (A+PEL) presents a number of awards and scholarships to individuals in recognition of their commitment to education. 

The A+PEL Grants and Scholarship Program awards over $18,000 to educators and those seeking teacher certification.  The program was established to create an ongoing network of educational awareness for Louisiana professional educators.  A+PEL awards classroom teachers and teacher candidates by underwriting worthwhile teacher initiated educational projects. 

To recognize the importance of volunteers at Louisiana schools, A+PEL has instituted the Volunteer of the Year Award.  Volunteers are the advocates for our children and youth.  A+PEL is proud to honor individuals who help make Louisiana schools such a wonderful place for children to grow and learn.
